Why is the Emancipation Proclamation still important today?

We believe that it is still important because, without it slavery could still be happening right now. Also it led to amendment 13 it wa sthe first major win for the union.

The Emancipation Proclamation is still important today because it ended most slavery and that is most memorable. It also reminds us of how to use our opponents reasons and turns them into our opponents weaknesses. THE END

The Emancipation Proclamation is still important today because it freed slaves in the Confederate. Also, it gave the right for former slaves to fight. Even if they were segregated and they were called 'colored troops'. If there was no Emancipation Proclamation, John and many others would still be working on a cotton mill. And that, is why Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation

We think that it is still important, because it helped take slavery down slavery in the CSA first and started moving up taward the North. Without the proclomation,balance would not be restored in the states. In conclusion we think that the Emancipation Proclamation helped end slavery.

If we didnt have the Emancipation Proclamation then slavery would still be going on right now.Another thing pople would still be known as propety. If all these things were going on, do you think that we would be in school learning about it right now?

The emancepation proclomation is still important today because it made a signifigent step foward on freeing slaves. Aberham lincon was able to switch the thinking of the confederates ,to as they considerd slaves property, he was able to say .....if you consider slaves property when we win on we get your property.in his thinking if they won they would win the property and do what ever they want with it, set them free.

The Emancipation Proclamation shows that slaves should be free. It also shows that slavery should have never happen. It is important today because now people think african americans are equal to whites.

The Emancepation Proclamation is important because when property was taken or seised the slaves were taken to the north because they were considered property. When slaves were taken up they were allowed to join the army as a colored force. This gave an advantage to the Union because it gave them more soldiers and some of the colored soldiers knew the land. This gave the Union an uper hand in the war. This might have been the advantage that kept our country together and endend slavery.
