Louis Armstrong was born on August 4 1901; he died on July 6, 1971. Nicknamed Satchmo or Pops was an American jazz sing from new Orleans to Louisiana. Louis played the trumpet and the cornet player. Armstrong was an influential singer. He was skilled at scat singing. Louis became a very popular jazz musician in 1941. He the first African- American jazz musician.
