Group 1: Cattle Drive Trails
The Chisom Trail was the main trail used during the cattle drive era. There are three other trails: The Goodnight Loving trail, the Western Trail, and the Shawinee Trail. Some modern Texas cities that were passed by during the journey were San Antonia, Austin, Lockheart, Georgetown, Roundrock, Belton, Clirton, Fort Worth, and Denton.

Group 2: Cattle Marketing
In 1860, there were more cows than humans, by six times as much. Also in 1860 longhorn steers were $2 in the south and $20 int the north. Joesph McCoy bmade cattle shipping terminal. Also in the 1870's Dodge City became the predominant destination for Texas herds. In 1871 700,000 cattles made it to Kansas railhead.

Group 5
The cowboy who rode ahead to scout for water and grass is called a
Trail boss. So the cowboys could identify the cattle, they burned symbols onto the cattle, this is called branding.A point rider is a cowboy who rides at the front of the herd on a trail drive.a swing rider is a cowboy who rides alongside a herd to turn it in the right direction.

Group 3:Cattle spanish andulsion cattle decsended and they were brought over by early 16th century explorers and the cattle provided food and clothing. the earliest ranches were in the 1800's and they started open range ranching .
